Boxing and fitness classes in Nelson

Here at Dixon’s Boxing, we have exciting classes that will have you sweating in no time! We offer a range of times to suit all family members and all fitness levels.
The right class really depends on your boxing goals however you can always have a kōrero to one of our friendly boxing instructors and we can help you figure it out!

Rangatahi Programs
Bantamweights – 8-11 years
Wednesdays 4:15pm – 5pm
Middleweights – 12 – 17 years
Monday and Wednesdays 5pm – 6pm.
Our Rangatahi programs are based on: Whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, aroha and tautoko. Our programs are designed to grow more resilient rangatahi, confident rangatahi are more able to take care of themselves well and nurture others to be good contributors to the wider community. The trainings will also contribute to there hauora tinana, hauora hinengaro and being part of a whānau based gym.
Adult Classes
Sparring classes are available when the coaches decide you’re ready for it.
Boxing non contact fitness classes 6pm – 7pm Monday and Wednesdays.

FAQs
Our boxing classes are 1 hour. We have classes for our rangatahi from ages 8 through to our adult classes.
Here at Dixons Boxing we ask that you bring a “Can Do” attitude. Believe us when we say “you will sweat” and therefore keeping hydrated is important, so bring a water bottle. You will also need a towel to wipe off that sweat from putting in all the hard work. We encourage good sportlike footwear and comfortable clothing that you can move around easily in.

Don’t forget, there is a first time for everything! Nau mai, haere mai! We welcome all ages and fitness abilities. We are a small, friendly, dedicated team with plenty of experience and are here to tautoko you on your boxing or fitness journey.
